Grew a highly profitable Direct Marketing Insurance business (PA, funeral, hospital cash, life) at Direct Axis by applying practical analysis, marketing, segmentation and a clear Testing Strategy to 20+ campaigns and more than 100 sub-campaigns
Developed Protea Assurance products and packages for brokers and provided marketing support and direction (e.g. Goal Getter, FirstGuard, Investan, etc.) that fueled its growth in market share and profitability – in particular, developing the split funding concept
Built a motor and home insurance telebroking operation at Direct Axis that became Auto & General’s top broker supporter in the Western Cape (Previously helped establish Protea Assurance’s short-lived telebroking operation and helped optimise results for the outbound telebroking of motor insurance for two major finance houses)
Responsible for the Strategy and Evaluation of business opportunities from the conception of Direct Axis (also provided strategic and visionary input at previous insurers such as Protea, Colonial Mutual and National Mutual).
Pioneered the establishment of Direct Axis’ unique Unsecured Personal Loans business where the original models proved remarkably accurate
Co-ordinated, summarised and interpreted the 98/99 LOA Persistency Survey
As part of its Voluntary Group marketing strategy, re-positioned Colonial Mutual’s GrowPlan product for greater acceptability
Pioneered National Mutual’s Guaranteed Fund Retirement Annuity concept, "Fidelis"
Evaluated Scoring and other segmentation techniques to enhance the Persistency of insurance policies as well as sales response and risk
Integrated Protea Assurance’ Corporate branding, Advertising, Sponsorship, PR and Marketing activities, including the group’s restructuring into separate companies
Group scheme valuations for Old Mutual and National Mutual clients
 

Remuneration

 

We are flexible regarding remuneration arrangements – for example, a project fee, or some other fair arrangement can be negotiated beforehand. However, in most instances a flat hourly rate is usually charged (with a lower rate applying to support activities). There is no charge for the first hour which is spent on an initial consultation to scope the work; thereafter the work is billable. Travel costs for the regular visits to Johannesburg are borne by GL&A. If any special urgent visits are required, these will be agreed beforehand.

Payment is required within 30 days of invoice.
